Integration
Verify your HubSpot audience before you send
HubSpot is a CRM first, and every contact you import usually counts toward your billable contact total whether it ever opens an email or not. Running a segment through Bounceless before you import it, or before a marketing send, catches invalid and disposable addresses while they are still rows in a CSV — before they become billable contacts or bounce complaints against your sending domain.
How it works
Steps are sourced from HubSpot's official documentation (reference) and have not yet been walked on a live HubSpot account by a Bounceless team member — treat exact menu labels as indicative until this note is removed.

Common questions
Does this workflow require connecting Bounceless to my HubSpot account?
No. The workflow is CSV-based: export a segment from HubSpot, verify it in Bounceless, then re-import the clean contacts and suppress the rest. Your HubSpot login and API credentials stay out of the loop entirely, and the flow works the same way regardless of which HubSpot tier you are on, since contact export and import are both standard features.
Will suppressing invalid contacts lower my billable HubSpot contact count?
Not automatically. Importing addresses as a "List of contacts to opt out of emails" sets them to Unsubscribed from all email, which stops marketing sends, but those contacts still exist in your account and still count toward the billable total. If you also want the contact count to drop, you need to delete the records outright, for example through HubSpot's hard-bounce delete segment, rather than relying on opt-out alone.
Is a HubSpot "list" the same thing as a "segment"?
Yes. HubSpot renamed Lists to Segments in its interface, though URL paths and some documentation still use the older "lists" wording. On screen you will see labels like "CRM > Segments" and "Create segment." We use "segment" as the primary term in this guide since that is what the current HubSpot UI shows, with "list" as the term you may still encounter in help articles or in your own habits.
