Integration

Verify your AWeber audience before you send

AWeber's own import guidance asks that subscribers have been collected or contacted within the last six months, since older contacts carry a higher bounce risk and hurt deliverability. Running a list through Bounceless before you reimport it puts that guidance into practice: dead mailboxes and disposable addresses get caught as rows in a CSV, not as bounces AWeber has to process against your account after the fact.

How it works

Steps are sourced from AWeber's official documentation (reference) and have not yet been walked on a live AWeber account by a Bounceless team member — treat exact menu labels as indicative until this note is removed.

When to run it

Common questions

Does this integration require connecting my AWeber account through the API?

No. The workflow is CSV-based: export from AWeber, verify in Bounceless, reimport the clean segment. Your AWeber login and any API credentials stay out of it entirely. AWeber's own developer docs describe an OAuth 2 authorization flow for teams that want a fully automated, push-based sync instead, but that is a separate, developer-level setup and not required for the CSV workflow above.

Will reimporting the verified CSV create duplicate subscribers in AWeber?

Not if you use AWeber's own import controls. During Import multiple, choose Update existing subscribers only or Add new subscribers and update existing, and AWeber matches incoming rows to existing subscribers by the mapped email field rather than adding a second copy of contacts who are already on the list.

How is this different from AWeber's suppression list and unsubscribe tools?

AWeber's suppression and unsubscribe tools act after a subscriber has already bounced, complained, or opted out, and there is no documented bulk hard-delete for active subscribers outside those mechanics. Bounceless verifies addresses before you send or reimport, so a mailbox that will bounce is caught up front; Bulk Unsubscribe and Block is then the closest AWeber-native way to act on what Bounceless flags.
